Alright here’s my question. I’m new to lifting weights, and I’ve been a beast on the bike for most of my life (lots of sprints, lots of climbing, lots of km’s, etc), and I’m wondering if I should be focusing on putting on more muscle mass, or my ability to climb and sprint. Also, if it matters, my weight is about 170 (probably about 10% body fat).
At the moment I’m doing really basic simple movements of the bar, squats, bench, bicep curls, lunges, and some shoulder things (like sitting with the bar above my head). I do pushups and situps.
I don’t really have a clue about proper form, and I have no idea if I’m doing anything but getting really really tired/injured.
I’ve read that barbell squatting is better than doing strict dumbbells/barbell squats, and I have my doubts about which
